Featured Recipe - Rice Pilaf
Description:
This is a wonderful mix of whole grain rice and vegetables, a great side dish for any meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 box Knorr beef broth
- 1 T Worchestershire sauce
- 1 small jar sliced mushrooms
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium green pepper, diced
- 2 C whole grain or brown rice
Directions:
1.Lightly spray large oven safe casserole dish with nonstick spray.
2. Mix the beef broth and worchestershire sauce in dish.
3. Add rice and mix.
4. Put all vegetables in with rice and broth and stir carefully.
5. Bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven for approximately 1 hour.
Note: The vegetables will float to the top of the dish, so stir when completed to incorporate the vegetables throughout the pilaf.
Makes 6-8 servings.
